After Alero run out, she did not look back at all, though Lucas's place is dark but Alero could find her out, maybe because she is too scared or maybe because eager to be alive, after Alero has run for sometimes she finally get out of Lucas's place and sees light "I hope he will not come to kill me" Alero thinks and continue running, she run even though she did not know where she is going, she just feel that she will be safe as much as she is not within Lucas's environment
