"Bridgette left, sir, and Pierre suffered a heart attack. The paramedics were not in time to save him. If Bridgette stayed and called them, they might have saved him. But she ran away as soon as she thought Little Dean was dead," Benny, my secretary, tells me. I am relieved to know that they are out of our lives. Bridgetta does not know that she has no money in her accounts. She will only find that out when she reaches her hideout. I know precisely where her hideout is. It is in the mountains. She will take jewellery with her, but it will only last a few years. Then, she will live the life of a poor person. I smile. I know she hates the countryside.
