“What is it? You called me here in a hurry, I thought something happened.” I asked Inspector Wyatt as soon as I got to his office and he pulled closed the door behind me then offered me a seat.
“Yes, there is more to what I told you than what meets the eye.” He added and I looked at him with keenness. I didn’t know what else to say so I waited for him to explain further, and he cleared his throat noisily before he continued, “The girl you said was working for you isn’t even on our data base. She is a Jane Doe; I don’t know how she ended up at your house but every credentials she gave you were falsified.”
