It felt as though I had sat there unmoving for an eternity. The gravity of it all still settling heavily on my chest. Maeve had disappeared before I was born, so how had Mab gotten hold of me? Why had she raised me as her own for all of this time? I had so many questions swirling through my mind right now. I needed answers, but first, I needed to bring down this barrier.
