AMBER. "Sky, what can we do?" I asked. "Nothing," she replied in a strangely calm voice. I didn't understand why she wasn't panicking like me. I didn't have time to think about it for long, though. Stefan was so close to me now that I could smell the stench of death on his breath. "I apologise if this hurts, my dear. I am a little out of practice," he said. I snarled and gnashed my teeth at him. "Do not make me muzzle you!" he warned. I lunged at him, trying to catch his throat with my huge, sharp teeth. He stepped back quickly, a moment of fear flashing across his face. It didn't last long, though. He looked smug as I yelped in pain. The vines had tightened around me, crushing at my ribs.
