It was difficult moving around still bound by these vines, but I wasn't going to allow Adam to carry me everywhere. He did insist on getting me down the stairs, at least, though. I looked up into his beautiful green eyes and smiled, agreeing instantly. As he lifted me and carried me down the stairs into the Goddess only knows what lay below us, I let my head rest on his broad shoulder. It felt so good being this close to him. With everything that had happened, we hadn't really had much time together to just sit and appreciate the fact that our bond was still intact after Caim's interferance. It could so easily have been destroyed by his meddling. It almost was. I let the tingling sensation from my forehead touching his neck run through me, closing my eyes to just enjoy the quiet mom
