My phone rang while I was lying there, trying not to wake up fully yet.
Jimmy gave me a heads-up on some of the progress regarding the baby clinic and said he would like me to come in when it is convenient. I don't think that guy ever takes a day off.
After I hung up, I realized that Jessica was not in the bathroom and was not returning to bed. I climbed reluctantly out of bed, relieved myself, and washed my hands before heading out to find out what she was up to.
Following the soft music, I paused in the kitchen entrance and watched. Jessica, dressed in only an apron, was swaying her hips to one of those catchy tunes that, once heard, will keep popping in your head all day long.
