Walking through the police station did not worry me, but entering the special investigation room was a little disconcerting, with all those eyes watching us, scrutinizing us. I felt I had been stripped naked and dressed again. Nothing was hidden from those eyes.
Jimmy and two detectives, whom I had met before, stood in the back room. It was a large room that had been designated for the investigation, a room filled with familiar faces on the walls.
