Chapter 7 Tammy caught the Number 28 bus into town, and enjoyed walking the last couple of blocks to Perrin’s Glorious Garb. Mom’s store had once stood on a dilapidated block of Belltown. Just north of the business core, most of the area had gone to condos and such. It was in much better shape now, but Mom’s block still had older shops, with unique stuff that couldn’t be found in a hundred other places. The old Mexican restaurant where they ate lunch sometimes was still there around the corner. A bike shop, a jeweler, and a florist had the nearby storefronts. A used bookstore had opened that she’d definitely have to check out. They had a big section of vinyl and CDs as well. She’d dodged the vinyl craze but even a peek through the windows said that several of her New York friends would j
