I was still trying to ascertain if I had heard that voice, piercing into my mind like Ash was speaking right into my ears, when I saw Sage walking towards me in an all too focused, too straight, too cold way. His eyes gazed into mine, and he didn’t shift his gaze. There was something hostile in his gaze, in his movement, in his whole aura, leaving him to be more intimidating than he usually was.
A feeling overcame me, a strong prick to my skin. A warning pressed against my mind. Ash flew away immediately, sensing it too.
“Be careful.” His voice echoed into my mind, confirming everything I knew and thought. I heard him speak. And everything was real. I was not going mad.
