New York was full of every dream that I’ve ever had. The sparkling lights hit the city just right, making it seem like pure perfection. Everything was so much busier here and extravagant. I could tell all that by only being here a few minutes. Chicago was alive, but nothing like this. There was back-to-back traffic with taxis roaring to life in the big city around every turn. The chatter from the street could be heard inside the car as even in the night, the city was as alive as I was sure it was during the day. Dylan was sitting across from me but not admiring the lights and people like me. It made sense considering the number of times he has probably been here.
