I had the biggest headache as my eyes sprung open. Suddenly, everything from last night came swarming back in one big swoop. Sometimes I felt like I was on a merry-go-round with Dylan. It had its highlights, but somewhere in the back of my mind, I always knew that I would get sick before I could finish the ride. It was like I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Dylan had a dark past, one that I couldn’t possibly begin to understand, but what I didn’t get was why he continued to lie to me like I was some adolescent teen. As I got ready to sit up, I felt hot breath on my shoulder. Without moving too much, I titled my head to see Dylan sound asleep in the bed next to me.
