Chapter 4 Zayem continued to sit there with a pout glaring at his older brother who only chuckled in response. Looking at Zayem always made him remember his father, while he had made himself tough with time, Zayem was always a soft-hearted person. Never getting into fights, entangling himself in healthy activities like sports and different competitions, studying all the time with zero social life. Though he was a friendly and helpful person who could make anyone laugh in his company just like their father. Zayan was proud of him other than his very friendly behaviour, he was afraid that the same might happen to him as their father. Trusting and being kind to anyone around, he didn't want him to go through any suffering or heartbreak though there was a part of him who also didn't wanted his brother to become like him. He had all the right to live the quiet life he wanted and as for hiskind-heartedd aspect, he didn't care as long as he was there to protect him from this cruel world at any cost. "Stop glaring at me, you know it doesn't scare me!" Zayan said, throwing his head on the back of the couch, savouring his glass of wine. "I know it doesn't scare you brother but please stop drinking at least in front of me!" Zayem urged, his glare turning into concern. "Fine! How was your trip?" Zayan asked "You know if you didn't force me, I would never go but it was fun, I had a nice time camping and at all!" Zayem said, now taking his glass of juice. "See, you need to loosen up a bit. I don't want you to become a dork!" Zayem rolled his eyes, "Loosen up! Brother, I do that every weekend with you and sometimes with my friends without having to come to a club and do such stuff!" "You have your definition of losing up and I have mine!" Zayan said, shrugging. Zayem took a deep breath looking at his brother with a serious look. "Why don't you settle brother!" He pressed knowing how this would end. Zayan raised his brows, "Why do you always say that Zayem, can't you see me happy!" "That's the thing brother, you think you are happy and content with all this but you aren't!" "I don't know what makes you think that way but I am happy with my business, success and you. That's all I want and ever wanted!" Zayan grumbled, he never understood why his brother brought this topic up. "What about the time when you are not working and I am somewhere else!" Zayem questioned. Zayan sighed, not wanting to deal with this. "Zayem I am happy with this and you know what I do to get rid of frustration if I have any" Zayan answered. "Yeah! Drinking and f*****g. That's what you do half of the time. Why don't you get that I don't want to see you in this waste, lonely and all!" he said pointing to the whole room. "I want you in a healthy relationship brother. As much as you deny it, we all need our significant half, you have to settle eventually!" Zayan laughed, a full-blown laugh making Zayem scrunch his brows. "You know I don't believe in that s**t that everyone calls" Zayan tilted his head making a thinking face. "Happily ever after!" He said in a bitter tone, a sick smile on his face. "If you want to believe in it go ahead but don't say I didn't warn you. All women want is money and status!" "Brother just because you had suffered before doesn't mean you will suffer again!" Zayem said in exasperation. "I know I won't suffer because I am never going to settle or believe in this bloody s**t" he proclaimed. "Not everyone is like our mother or…." Zayem gulped before mumbling "Or like Olena!" Something akin to revulsion settled in the pit of his stomach hearing the name he disgusted the most. He never thought he would hate someone more than his mother but he was wrong, Olena Wibek proved him wrong. His jaw clenched in a painful grip as he clasped the glass tighter in his hand, almost cracking it. He wasn't in a mood to discuss this anymore. Seeing his expression, Zayem felt guilty and i***t for taking that name knowing how much his brother loathed it. "I am sorry brother, I didn't me-----" "Zayem go home and rest, you must be tired from your travelling!" Zayan said, downing his wine and placing the glass on the table with a thud. This made Zayem more regretful, why did he have to ruin this evening. Here he was trying to get him into a relationship thing and now he unstitched his old wounds. "Aren't you coming with me!" Zayem said standing up from the couch, knowing that talking further about it would vex him even more. This made Zayem more regretful, why did he have to ruin this evening. Zayem said standing up from the couch, knowing that talking further about it would vex him even more. "No, I have some work. You go, I will return later!" Zayem said with an edge in his voice giving him a small smile which he returned with an apologetic one walking out of the VIP section knowing that his brother was most probably going to take that irritation out by f*****g someone. Zayan took a deep breath trying to calm his raging heart not wanting to break anything in the room. "Noam!" He called his bodyguard who was standing close to the room. "Boss!" He responded in a stoic tone, his posture like that of a robot. "Take that woman from before to my hotel room!" Noam nodded his head instantly, bowing his head getting to his order. Knowing what are the consequences of not getting his work done immediately. Zayan took his blazer and strode out of the room. He would never settle, love is something not stemmed in his heart. All love ever leads is to heartbreak. He knows what it is, he has seen it, witnessed it and lived it and he would be damn if he ever let him get entrapped into it.
