CHAPTER 86
Usually, the nights are dark but today it was unduly dark with the moon hiding behind the curtains of thick clouds. As soon as they alighted the car, the warm breeze drawled some of the strands of her hair on her forehead but she was quick to tug them back, walking behind him towards the foyer of the mansion. Surprisingly, the silence between them wasn't suffocating like any previous time, it was a pacifying one.
The high-pitched voices of Zayem and Joshua were the first thing they came across while ambling toward the staircase.
"Stop behaving like a child, Zayem."
"Oh please, if anyone here is a child, it's definitely you!"
"Why are you so wholly unbearable, like a rotten egg!"
"If I am a rotten egg, then you are an old dinosaur egg that should have been extinct by now,"
