Lilian’s POV The room swirls around me and again, I’m back on that park bench, a burger in my hands whilst I eat like an animal, scared that if I pause for breath, someone might take it from me. ‘My name isn’t Lilian’ I admit, my voice barely above a whisper though it carries easily in the silent room, ‘It’s Lilania, Lilania Sigala.’ The name feels foreign on my tongue as it’s been so long since I’ve had to utter it. ‘My mother named me after her great aunt who had raised her, the woman took ma in when her own decided that raising a child wasn’t what she wanted to do.
