‘I’m in’ the words are barely a whisper, but Lilian might as well have screamed them from the way I flinch back in shock. She’s in? She’s actually agreeing to pretend to be my girlfriend?
Straightening up slightly, her jaw sets as she keeps her gaze firmly on her boss, ‘I have some rules’ she adds quickly.
Derek nods, waving a hand to say he’s listening as she clears her throat, ‘there will be no staying at each other’s houses’ she huffs, ‘I do not want anyone to say that we were purposefully misleading the public if this all comes out.
