Daxton’s POV I’ll admit, when Lilian stepped back out of the bathroom, it threw me for a loop. In those few short minutes, she seemed to have changed from the Lilian I know to a warm bubbly stranger. Looping her arm through mine, she suggested we head into the grand room where the dinner and auction would be held. We walk into the room that’s decked out in the usual grandeur to try and convince us all that we are here for more than just to open our wallets. An easel is set up to our right that holds a seating plan. I’m trying to concentrate on the names around each small circle, but the jostling of the people around us keeps moving Lilian’s body slightly and I am hyper aware that her breast keeps brushing against the material of my jacket.
