Alex’s P.O.V.
My heart was pounding hard in anticipation. It was totally dark here and the air was very cold. I prayed for her safety. I wanted her to be safe. I refused to be inside the tent and came with the search party. How could I be resting when I was not sure whether she is the creature or not? What if my guess is right and she is out there alone in this dark hours of the night. The figure that we saw was not able to stand. It made me so worried.
Elijah had taken the access of that security camera in his phone and we were heading towards the place where we have last seen the figure. It was a dense forest and the soil was loose due to rain in the evening. The ground became slippery and often the earth drowned in a deep hole.
