The next day, my mom and I waited for Marco. He came early. When he saw my mom, Marco smiled and nodded. “Megan, how are you this morning?” “I’m good. How about you?” “I’m good too. Well, though, I prefer Emmy graduate from high school first, and both of you have known each other better.” “I see.” Marco opened the door for my mom, then for me. “I won’t rush Esme about the wedding. I have been thinking about many things, and you are right, Megan. Maybe two years from now, it’s the best time for Esme and me to marry, but not now.” “Are you sure?
