Gabe sat with Cinda on the lounge. The movie was over but be he couldn’t get her to go upstairs to their bed, she wanted to sort out the back barbeque area, told him she wanted everything organised and sorted out before she started on the Mason house.
Which, apparently, she intended to do come Monday. She would be headed out there to start washing everything down, and patching walls so she could get in and start painting it. This didn’t leave much time for the rest of her house to be sorted out, she’d told him, and seemed eager to get hers underway, whereas before, he thought she was in no real rush.
Asked her just what that rush was all of a sudden, and she’d stated simply “The sooner it’s all started the sooner it’s done. Gave myself a 6 to 12 month timeline is all.”
