Cinda was still not back when he came downstairs, headed for the kitchen and got himself a glass of water, made his protein shake for tomorrow before work, a quick easy breakfast like he did most days. He didn’t need her to make him breakfast each morning. It was a nice thought. He wondered if she'd picked that up from his mum absently, who always made his father breakfast. Though he himself didn’t usually eat anything. It was nice to come home to Cinda, to see her in her home office working, to have her look right up at him and smile, a genuine happy smile to see him.
