Cinda answered her phone on the fourth ring. It was William “Hi William.”
“Where are you and Gabe?” He asked right away.
“On our way home, we went to visit Grey and Kiren, to see their new baby. Why?”
“I was concerned, after what happened today is all,” he replied.
Cinda sighed heavily, “It was bad, I know. I’m sorry William, that you had to see that.”
“Don’t worry too much about it, I had a chat with Lori and Dan on your behalf.”
“What? Why on earth would you do that?” She could feel Gabe’s eyes on her, at the sound of her tone and unhappy words.
