Waiting for what exactly, I was not sure. Even the Savior’s journals, humming faintly against my thigh as I walked, seemed to sense it too. The two small tomes Jamieson had slipped into my pack turned out to be more than just records. They were echoes of something holy, pulsing with warnings I was only just beginning to understand. The intricate diagram on the cover pulsed with power: two circles enclosing a heptagram, nestled between heptagons, with a pentagram at the center.
