Chapter 23: The Monster in the Glass
The creature hit the floor with a wet thud.
Green fluid splashed across the pristine white tiles. The beast rose to its full height. It stood ten feet tall. Its gray skin was covered in chitinous plates that looked like ancient armor.
Titan opened its mouth. It let out a roar that shattered the remaining glass of the containment tank.
Garrett Vance did not wait to watch the show.
He turned and sprinted toward a hidden panel in the wall. He punched in a code. The wall slid open to reveal a private escape pod.
"Kill them," Garrett ordered the beast. "Leave no scraps."
He stepped into the pod and the door sealed shut with a hiss.
