In the dark alley, something terrifying stared right back at the werewolves that had only come to get information, or kill her. Her hair was as red as the blood in her hands, her eyes the strangest colour that the supes had ever seen but that was not the most terrifying thing yet. The nature she took was scary, the scent of her was frightening but the feel of death was like a perfume she wore. It was strong, so strong it made the bones within their forms freeze at a spot.
“Again, where is Russel?” she growled loudly when no one answered her, her tone coming out animalistically and her form slowly surfacing as the red lines within her eyes slowly began to glow.
“How about you follow us and we let him live?” Kane found his boldness and spoke up as he slowly stepped forward. He was still in his human form because he had felt that he did not need to change over someone like her. The weaker wolves could do the work all the same.
“How about you take me to him, and he better be alive and your death becomes less….” She smiled wickedly and thought of the right words to use.
“Lengthening.” She flashed her canines at them.
“I can make it very quick, you wouldn’t know what hit you,” she added. A few of them who lost their heart drew back at the flash of her canines and devilish smile while the others from the strongest pack simply moved forward. She honestly didn’t blame any of them, they were powerful and they knew it. Their only mistake was that they had never met her, they knew her not, if only they did, maybe they would have run far from it all. But she hated these creatures, she hated them so much, she was going to have fun with their blood and body all over. She could feel the night already getting exciting.
“Are you not too full of yourself?” Kane growled, decided to be the lead as always. She glared at him, hating him specially for a lot of things and marking him as the last man she would kill. His voice being loud and powerful gave the others the strength and bravery that they needed that even those that took steps back slowly began to move forward. They watched her with their wolf eyes and waited for her to attack first while she watched them and calculated what to do or who to attack first. Also buying more time for her injuries to heal. Of course, the healing had started but since she was stabbed at so many places, it was taking a long time, too long a time.
“Take her,” Kane ordered.
Finally, they got bold and the first person attacked. Moving at the speed of a wolf, he charged at Aziza and lifted his fully clawed hand to claw her in her stomach. Fortunately, she was faster and saw him coming and moved slightly away, that his claws brushed past her stomach by a little distance. He growled when he missed and charged at her in anger and speed. She moved faster and slammed a punch at his wrist that it snapped, making him pause and groan in pain. A different werewolf charged at her as well with her fangs bearing out in a much stronger rage. Her mate was the one who was previously fighting Aziza and seeing him hurt was making her stupid. Aziza moved out of the way just as she rushed past her, then she grabbed her hair right before she went too far and pulled her back. She growled and lifted her hand to claw her face, but Aziza held it midair and threw her to the opposite direction. A pained growl made her turn around to see the previous fighter charging at her this time with pain written all over his face. They were mates, they shared the same pain, they were connected and could feel each other’s pain and that weakens them. She smirked and ran to him just to end his pain a little faster and snapped his neck then she went ahead to decapitate him. His mate shrieked in agony from the corner she was lying down and Aziza only smiled and turned to the others.
The higher ranked wolves from strong packs still thought that there was no need for shifting, since the wolves she killed were from a weaker pack and were thought to be very weak too. She smirked darkly and turned her attention to the wolves who had shifted fully. They were so much stronger in their full form and they were the ones she had to take care of, first. They growled and showed their razor sharpened canines as they all leaped into the air and towards her. Aziza punched the first one by the side of his face, her strength knocking him out a few distance that he fell while the other stabbed his canines into her leg. She growled in pain just at the same time, she felt a rush of air around her as she was flung into the air. Her head slammed against the hard ground, pain piercing into her back like never before while a sharp pain hit her shoulders, letting her believe that it had been dislocated. She rolled over for a while and stopped, then something cold touched her skin. Turning to it, she found a single rod lying around. She got up, placing her weight in one leg since the other was beaten. She could feel the venom from the wolf’s bite running through her veins and weakening her. But being partly werewolf, her blood fought against it. She picked up the rod with her free hand and rolled the other hand till she snapped it back to its joint, then she turned around to face her oppressors. Without waiting they charged at her, gnashing their teeth and throwing their claws in the air to strike her. She struck the rod right in the chest area of the first wolf where she believed the heart was and pulled it out at the sound of his whimper and agony. Then she struck the other just at the same spot and pulled the rod away. The both wolves fell to the floor and shifted back to their human form as they groaned and whimpered in pain. With as much speed, she ran to them and one after the other, pulled their hearts out of their chest to completely end them before she turned to the others.
Daciana, the omega was still far and still on the floor as she watched the entire scene with her heart racing in her chest and her thoughts running wide. She wanted to join the fight, but she was sure of what she was seeing just as every other person saw her. The red hair was going to end them all yet they were so ignorant.
The wolf she killed her mate suddenly stood up and ran towards her and shifted into her full form as well. She growled and struck her paw against Aziza’s face, knocking her to the ground. Then she sank her fangs on the same leg that she was beaten and lifted her into the air. The same cold air rushed over her skin once again, then she was slammed against the hard ground. With her fangs still on Aziza’s legs, she pulled her and slammed her yet again against the ground, then again and again, repeatedly till she was sure that the red hair had gone lifeless. Truly, Aziza had, for the countless attacks had a great impact on her head and bones. She was bloody and bruised, especially on her legs.
“Well-done,” Kane’s voice sprang aloud when he saw the defeat of the red hair and came forward clapping his hand at the wolf, he thought was useless as well. Two other wolves followed behind him, one who was stabbed earlier and the other one of the higher ranks as well. The wolf growled at Aziza, not minding what they were saying because she was too angry, too hurt and too broken to care. Her mate was dead after all and she wanted to have her revenge and nothing more.
“But that would be all for now,” Kane continued.
“Fortunately, she is alive. We need to take her to the oracle,” he added. The wolf turned to him and gave out a very disapproved grunt.
“You won’t defy the oracle.” He glared at her. But she cared less about it, they had killed her once without thinking of the oracle, she was going to die again, just as her mate and this time, she would make sure that she does not return from the dead. She growled at him and took a threatening step forward and Kane did the same.
“Step aside,” he growled at her. Usually, she would feel intimidated by him, or maybe she wouldn’t but they all knew he was more powerful and would not want to be on his bad side. But this time, she stood tall and looked him straight in the eyes.
Aziza remained quiet on the floor, wishing that they would continue to banter like kids while she slowly healed. But it was getting difficult because her tolerance to wolf’s poison was low. Becoming part of every supe suddenly had its quirk. A full werewolf would never feel the venom of a bite from another werewolf because their body was immune to it. It was theirs and it could not hurt them, but it could hurt vampires, witches and demons alike, mostly. She was a hybrid, a part of all the supe was in her. Not fully a werewolf, her immunity to their venom also not very strong. So why she waited for her body to fight the venom, she allowed them to fight and argue amongst themselves without making a single noise.
“You would go against the oracle,” one of the men behind Kane stepped forward and glared at the wolf as well. She did not care too much, she stood her ground and growled at them, letting them know her stand.
“She killed my mate,” she mind linked them as she tried to express her pain.
“Your mate was useless,” Kane snapped.
“Watch your tongue, Kane,” she snapped back and barked at him.
“Do you want to die? Or is this your way of telling us that you want to join your mate?” the other yelled at her, fueling her anger and grieve even more. Using her paw, she struck him hard and flung him into the air. Kane got angry and shifted immediately into his gigantic beast. He charged at her and buried his bone breaking teeth right into her wolf’s neck, then he went further to tear up the place by swinging her around.
Aziza saw a chance and got up on her feet. She ran for the other two who had not shifted already, buried her fangs into one’s neck while pushing her razor-sharp claws into his heart and pulling it out. Then she went for the other and snapped his head out of his neck. Blood dripped out of her mouth as she turned to meet the last of her victims in his wolf form. Kane had fully ripped the woman apart just as she turned to him. The side of his mouth was bloody and so were his teeth. He was big, almost like an alpha and deadly scary with black furs and heart wrenching canines. Standing on one foot, she smiled at him while he growled.
“Where is Russel?” she asked the question again when she still could not sense him. Wolf smell and blood were blocking her senses and because she was injured, most of her powers were not working properly anymore. But then again, she was supposed to have healed already. She frowned at that thought and wondered why it was taking so long to heal but pushed it aside to think of what was right in front of her. The wolf simply barked at her and took a threatening step forward without fear. She had expected it, he was too proud, too cocky, too ignorant and foolish to see.
“Daciana should be smarter,” she muttered under her breath and zoomed off to where the woman had been laying silently. Picking her by the throat, she lifted her into the air.
“Do you know where Russel is?” she asked her, feeling her fear. She quickly nodded her head, not wanting it to snap out of her body any time soon. Kane growled and leaped into the air as he charged at the both of them at once. Aziza dropped Daciana and turned around, then she gave him a jaw piercing punch that sent him crashing against a trash can. Looking around, she found her rod and ran to him but he got up just as quickly and plunged his teeth into her ribs. She screamed in pain and he tossed her aside, hitting her over a pole, then she fell to the floor with a mighty thud. He was strongest and she knew she needed to end him soon. Ignoring her pain, she quickened herself and turned around on her back when he jumped on her with jaw wide open and teeth about to sink into her skull. She slammed the rod underneath his jaw that it came out at the top of his mouth, close to his nostrils. He cried painfully and moved away from her, then he shifted into his human form and fell to the floor.
“No………” Daciana yelled and shifted, ready to fight for the mate who rejected her. Aziza glared at her and got up on her feet. Her bruises were still hurting and her leg bleeding. The wounds were healing, she could feel it but it was no longer healing as it should. She turned to the wolf who had just changed and smiled at her. She was beautiful with black and white furs that made her look mystical.
“Go get my uncle,” she ordered, knowing Daciana knew that she would die with Kane if she moved further.
“Get him and I might let this scumbag live,” she added, just so she could read the message. She howled and leaped into the air to a particular direction as she did exactly what Aziza had ordered. Seeing that it was almost over, she turned to the big bad wolf, with her limping legs, she went over to him and pulled the rod right out of his mouth. He yelled in agony and tried getting up in rage to hurt her but she was fast and had it buried in his ribs just as quickly.
Daciana returned with Russel almost immediately as she held him with her teeth and gently placed him on the floor. His eyes were closed and he looked dead. Aziza only relaxed when she heard his heart beating, then she turned to Kane. She picked him up till he was on his knees and turned so they could all be facing Daciana. Then she smiled wickedly and placed her hand on his neck, ready to snap it away from his head. Her wolf whimpered as she stepped forward and her pain reached Aziza. She felt pity for her, the woman who loved her mate so much but he loved her not at all. She had heard all their arguments when they thought she was dead, so she knew the story and could understand why her beautiful wolf only looked at her with pleading eyes.
“Accept his rejection,” she ordered dryly, not caring about anyone’s feelings. Daciana’s wolf whimpered and shifted in an instance. Then her knees gave way and she fell to the ground. Tears ran down her eyes as a similar pain hit her chest. Aziza could tell that the beautiful wolf was rejected but she never accepted that rejection. It was only when one truly accepted a rejection would they be free from their mate. And Daciana was not free. She still connected to him even when he had severed all connection to her. She endured the pain of feeling him and everything he did when he lived like she never existed. Kane growled and tried fighting Aziza off knowing that with her hand that way he could die soon. But she held him in place like he was simply a bunny.
“Daciana,” she growled at her, not wanting to waste anymore time.
“Please,” she pleaded and lifted her gaze to meet that of the red hair. She could not afford to accept it, he was her mate even though he had severed all ties with her and broke the bond he had with her by rejecting her. She was scared of breaking the bond that tied her to him by accepting his rejection. As long as she still held on to him, she would still feel him and everything he does. A part of her hoped that he would come back to her, hoped that feeling him and being connected to him would bring her peace.
“Accept it or he dies,” Aziza snapped at the lady who was behaving so stupid. Daciana turned to her, then her eyes shifted to Kane who was powerless in her arms. He glared at her with hate and disgust yet her heart longed for him and loved that she was willing to even save him.
“I, Daciana Lynn, accept the rejection of Kane creed,” she said the words that shattered her entire world completely and turned to Aziza to let him go. The red hair smiled at her as she looked into her eyes, then she snapped his head and decapitated him. A shrilling scream sprang from Daciana’s throat while Aziza turned to her uncle.
“I did you a favour, Daciana.”
