Maddie took the herbal concoction Russel gave to her and drank the whole content till there was nothing left while Sloan stared at her with worry. The injury on her neck had been taken care of and treated but it only reminded her of the scary night they had and how she had almost lost her friend.
“Is she okay now?” She turned to Russel.
“Yes,” he responded.
“Would she turn to a vampire?” she continued. Maddie froze at that question and snapped her attention to Russel. He sighed and turned to the both women, wondering where they got the idea that it was so easy to turn to a vampire.
“No, she would not. It's not that easy to turn to one,” he answered and stretched his hands towards Maddie. She handed the cup she held to him and sighed in relief.
“Where is Ivy? I thought she was coming?”
