(Slade’s POV) Aspen stood in the doorway of my office looking like she may explode. To be fair, I wasn’t ruling that out. “Close the door,” I said. She nodded so quickly I wondered if her neck hurt. “First rule. You are available whenever I need you. Hockey isn’t predictable. Practice changes. Travel changes. My schedule can change daily.
