CHAPTER 70 ALEXANDER’S POV He was awake. His eyes darted across the room and on his face was etched an expression of horror. He breathed in sharp gasps as he tried standing from his bed. But as he tried to move, the IV line snaking into veins pulled him back as he winced. His eyes traveled down to it as he slowly shook his head. “MARAAA!” he shouted as he began clawing at the line, trying to pull it off. He was going to hurt himself. “Dad,” I muttered under his breath and he turned his head sharply to me.
