MARA'S POV
“Kurt?”
The name felt strange in my lips and the suddenness of the message immediately put me at unease.
I stared at it for a while, my brows furrowed with a confused frown. My fingers felt numb as I tapped on the notification and watched as it opened immediately, like it had been waiting for me to do so.
“Hey," I read out loud as my eyes scanned the content, “I heard you were hospitalized for a couple of weeks. I saw you get discharged. Really sorry about whatever happened. Hope you're okay.”
I paused as I swallowed. How did he know I was in the hospital? And… was he spying on me now?
My eyes dropped down at the message below the first.
“If you're up for it, I would really love to see you. We'll talk. Nothing else."
