I DIDN’T KNOW how many times I sighed as I sipped on the wineglass I was holding. Even the hours passed by so quickly that I didn’t notice it was already six in the evening. The guests are starting to leave and I bid them goodbye, thanking them for attending the ceremony.
When I thought everyone had already left, I was surprised to see my father… He lowered his head towards me when he noticed I was looking at him.
“Father…” I called him.
Although he isn’t my real father, I am used to calling him that way. Even though he didn’t treat me better, he’s still the one who raised me.
“You can just call me, Henry. I know that it’s hard for you to call me that way even though we both know you are not my daughter,” he said.
I nodded. “Yes. That’s true. Do you need anything?”
