It's astounding how fast life turns around, taking you on a path you never intended for yourself, a path you don't recognize, one you could never imagine.
Not for a moment, in my 200 years of existence, did I think I could feel desire like I do now, crave something or someone like I do. Everything I endured, the rough road I walked on, the storm, hail, and hell I went through, I believe molded my life to what it is now. Although everything is not completely set, and there are lots of things that need to be corrected and made right, I know I'll get there. I want to get there.
" Excuse me, I need directions to the kitchen." I ask the heavily armored guard.
He looks at me impassively, but recognition flashes through his eyes at the sight of my cream colored dress.
