My head throbs. Which shouldn't be possible. I try to open my eyes but immediately shut it with a groan when the light makes my eyes burn.
"Take it easy, sire." The quiet voice of the head physician reaches my ears. " Try to open your eyes again. Slowly this time."
What is he even doing here? I ask myself, but do as he instructed. I slowly open my eyes, but it burns a little so I close, blocking the light with my palm before trying again.
My vision is blurry at first, but soon clears out. I push myself up with my elbows and sit up on the bed. The physician's face comes into view, his brown eyes shining with concern, which amuses me.
