“That is your final word?” Hannah asked, and some of her earlier calm and sweet exterior had been chipped away.
Her true colors were showing, her mask was slipping away.
“You heard me the first time,” I said, and set aside my bottle of water.
“Did you not hear me the first time? I said it would help the family financially if you did this.”
