CHAPTER 60

1358 Words

ELIJAH’s POV Rogues were a messy lot. They fought with zero finesse and were always ready to draw blood. Lucky for them, I had blood of my own to draw as well. I waited while the first rogue ran in my direction and struck it with my claw. I was outnumbered, but numbers were never my problem. Plus, I was angry enough. They came forward, baring teeth and slashing claws, and I realised that to win, I was going to have to fight dirty as well. The fight dragged on for what felt like forever, but I fought them with all that I had inside of me. But the more they fell, the more kept coming. When I survived this, I was going to have to come back here and survey the area. Somehow, this seemed to be their base of some kind. “Mate.” My wolf cried, and I felt that pain in my chest from earlier.
