KYLIE’s POV
After breakfast with Elijah, I had to reason with him to let me pick up supplies when he was leaving.
“I’ll bring them for you.” He argued, but I smiled and shook my head.
“I have to keep going, Elijah. That means doing the normal things of life. I need you to understand.”
Finally, he relented, even though he found it hard to let me walk back on my own.
“I’ll drop you at your apartment building.”
