"Honey, I'm home," I said as I swung the front door open.
Kara was sitting on the couch in the living room. Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw me. For some reason that made my heart skip a beat.
"You got pizza!" she screamed happily and raced over.
Kara and her junk food obsession, of course.
"Yes. But wait, do you wanna see something cool?" I stopped her.
"Is it better than pizza?" she challenged.
I raised my eyebrow at her. Putting the pizza box down, I took off my jacket and showed her my left arm.
"You got a new tattoo?" she gasped.
Nodding my head, I peeled the bandage off slowly and showed it to her.
