Sophia’s POV.
We had been talking and smiling about something when Lucien’s phone rang. He picked it up and I couldn’t tell whatever the other person had said, but Lucien’s expression changed. He became gloomy as if he’d just gotten a bad news.
“What happened?” I asked and he told me.
“It’s Kayla’s. She tried to kill Brynn. Stabbed her twice on the chest. She was aiming for her heart but narrowly missed and that is why Brynn is still alive.”
I couldn’t believe that. It was understandable that she’d want to kill me but I didn’t know why she would attack Brynn.
“She is blood thirsty, Sophie. And I’m guessing she was angry at her condition when she woke up.” Lucien grabbed the wheels tight and drove faster.
