Unfortunately, I could not have a good sleep. I was plagued with the nightmare of that crash that day, on Christmas Day when my whole life had taken a huge turn. I turned to my other side, thinking I’d see Lucien asleep but it turned out to not be the case. He was wide awake with dark circles around his eyes, staring at me unblinkingly, with his elbow propped up to support his face in his hand. “Don’t tell me you didn’t sleep?” I asked him and he swallowed.
