“Lucien,” I called when I spotted him standing at the door. I ran into his arms and he held my tight and kissed the top of my forehead.
“How is mother doing?”
“She is fine and asleep. Aria is taking care of her.” I answered and he nodded.
“Father wanted to come by to see his wife but I had him deal with things in his own pack first. Hopefully, we can control this.”
“It’s going to be fine.” I told him with a slight smile and to my surprise, he kissed my lips. It wasn’t a deep kiss but more like a peck.
“You look so exhausted.”
“I had to interrogate everyone.” I said and dramatically held my arms. “Ouch. My back hurts.”
“You need a massage.” He pulled me into the bed with him and forced me to lie on my stomach.
