Leon POV
She took another wobbly step toward me, the bottle swinging in her grip.
"Coward?" I repeated, my own voice dropping low. The word was a challenge in the quiet night. "You think I'm a coward?"
"I know you are." she shot back, her slurring somehow making the accusation sharper.
" I heard you, Leon. I heard every word you said." She declared.
My blood ran cold. She hadn't gone to her room after the party but somehow stumbled towards Asher's office?
She had been there. Outside Asher's office listening to our conversation.
"I heard everything," she continued, her voice cracking now. "I heard you tell my brother that you're not good enough for me. That you're broken and that i deserve someone whole."
She was close enough now that I could smell the whiskey on her breath.
