As my eyes started to slowly open I saw the fairy lights above me, meaning I was back in my tent.
I reached up and felt the bandages around my neck from where Lainey had attacked me and that’s when everything came flooding back into my head.
The whole incident where she attacked me with her claws and that horrible laugh as she was dragged away.
I will never get that laugh out of my head.
I slowly sat up and Joshua was sitting in the other room.
As soon as he saw me moving he raced over to me to help me sit up and I tried to speak, but nothing came out.
“Don’t try to talk. You are healing, but not very fast. You need to take it easy.” He said. So I grabbed my notebook and pen.
Where’s Jack?
“Alpha Jack is outside with the pack.” He answered stoicly.
