However, as the hours wore on, I reluctantly began to bid my farewells, promising everyone that we would keep in touch. Liam, with a reassuring smile, vowed that he would dispatch those warriors to assist us without delay. The drive back to our pack felt unusually quiet, the hum of the engine a soothing backdrop to my swirling thoughts.
