I had a quick meeting with the new security company after lunch, and then we loaded up and headed to Mercy Hospital. Annie sat in the passenger seat next to the driver, while I was stuck behind in my chair. He dropped us off at the main entrance. Annie walked beside me as I powered myself into the hospital. We stopped to check in and were directed up to the Intensive Care Unit on the second floor.
We got off the elevator and turned left. A rather star-struck nurse came out to escort us into the ward. She couldn't stop staring at me and she kept smiling nervously and smoothing out her scrubs. "You picked a great time to come," she babbled, "Mr. Harvey woke up about two hours ago."
