As I woke up, my head throbbed with a dull ache. I groggily stumbled out of my bedroom and made my way towards the kitchen. As I entered, I noticed Aunt Regina and Anne sitting at the table, and they both gave me a disapproving glare. Beside them was sitting my mother, Ava, who greeted me warmly and invited me to sit down for breakfast.
I looked around and saw that the males were not present. Xavier must have left to fulfil his pack duties. I wonder where Dad and Uncle Michael were.
As I sat down, I tried to avoid eye contact with Aunt Regina and Anne. I tried to focus on the food in front of me, but my appetite had vanished. My head was pounding, and I felt sick to my stomach.
"Are you feeling fine?" My mom asked and stroked my hair. I nodded and stayed quiet.
