“I knew it was going to happen,” Arthur muttered under his breath with a short chuckle.
Killian’s head turned sharply, his eyes locking on him with a glare cold enough to kill. Arthur smirked at first, but the moment a low growl rumbled from Killian’s chest, the smile vanished. He lowered his head in submission to his Alpha King.
James drew in a deep breath. “Okay. If Grace thinks so, then let’s postpone it,” he said at last.
Turning to face the gathered pack members, his voice carried with practiced authority. “Isabella is new to our pack. I believe we should give her time to adjust. We will conduct the marking and mating rituals for our Alpha and Luna after Isabella’s eighteenth birthday. I thank you all for coming to bless them with your best wishes. Please—enjoy the party.”
