Fury was so caught off guard by Margot’s sudden kiss that he froze in place. He didn’t move for a full ten seconds, but once Battle knocked some sense into him and he finally felt the sparks of the mate bond ripple through his body, Fury reacted. He wrapped his arms around Margot’s hips and pulled her impossibly close.
Margot repositioned herself so that her arms were now wrapped around Fury’s neck. Due to their height difference, Margot had to stand on her tiptoes. Fury became harder by the second.
