Chapter 62
While Fury and Margot were sharing the news of the pregnancy at home, Aidan and Tim arrived at Aidan’s apartment in Henderson, Nevada.
“Nice digs,” Tim said as Aidan parked his car in front of his building.
“Thanks. Katarina helped me secure it,” Aidan replied as he turned off the ignition. Tim nodded and followed Aidan to his unit. Aidan’s unit was on the third floor, and the complex looked more like a luxury hotel than an apartment building.
The electronic lock chirped, and Aidan pushed the door open, stepping aside. “After you.”
Tim offered a smile and walked in. The door clicked shut behind them, plunging the entryway into a brief, heavy darkness. Aidan flipped a switch, and a flood of sterile, white light filled a space that was more an echo chamber than an apartment.
