ALLISTER It was the first time I felt my wolf growl out of me, on a day when the full moon was nowhere close. Father's eyes widened and he took a step back, as if he was afraid I would transform that very instant. On a normal day, if only one of us was a wolf, the other wouldn't stand a chance. He knew that, but his fear did not mean that I hadn't messed up. "What the hell was that?" he asked, his growl more vampiric.
