I don’t even remember how I got back into my bed.
Kai got rid of his ripped shirt and helped me clean myself up. Maybe it was just a dream, but we had found a small pond where we could dip in and freshen up.
By the time we were floating in the water, I would have guessed that they would already be fed up with me, but Kai couldn’t keep his hands to himself. He kept me hugged to his chest, and we lost ourselves in our kiss while Ace was watching us from the edge of the small lake.
As we came out of the water and left the forest, Kai carried me in his arms. He held them wrapped around me firmly, shielding me from the chilly spring night with his body heat as we sat around the bonfire.
