The witch scrunches up her face, which doesn’t really help her exert any kind of the desired authority.
“He is your brother?” She asks, stepping closer. “Why were you attacking him then? You would have killed him.”
“Meh,” I push out, not being able to shrug. “He f***s up all the time. And we lost our Luna.”
As I look at her, I see her shock grow. “What are you doing here? Useless magic tricks to keep us busy until the grown-ups show up?”
“I am an earth witch,” she answers confidently, stomping her foot as if it would prove anything. “I’m in training, but I am far in my training.”
I laugh, but as I let my eyes fall to her feet, I see small buds arise through the ground around her feet.
“Nice,” I say sarcastically. “My brother?”
She shakes her head, checking him up swiftly
